Brass Ensemble

The brass ensemble is run by brass tutor, Mr Sawsom.  This group has been very successful at performing upbeat and jazzy pieces, especially as part of the Spring concerts held by the school and is a lively and friendly group who between them share a large amount of talent in music.  The size of the group generally reaches about 15 each year, but this does vary depending on how many people are leaving the school each time e.g. Sixth Formers.  Brass types included in this group are trombone, trumpet, tuba and French horn.  For an extract of the piece St Louis Blues, played by the ensemble in the 2005 Spring concert play the track below:

Rehearsals:

• Rehearsals for this group have now ended for this year, but the group will begin rehearsing again at the start of the next school year with a new and challenging piece.
