Senior Choir

The senior Choir at Churchill school is an accomplished and high standard choir that performs the main classical piece in the school concert each year.  There have been many musical achievements during its time including performances of the Mozart Requiem, Karl Jenkins’  Armed Man, music from the Phantom of the Opera and most recently the Bach Magnificat.  All of these have had high acclaim from audiences and have been highlights of Summer concerts held by the school. To hear an extract of the Mozart Requiem - Dies Irae play the track below:

The choir, although named senior, is accessible to students of all ages in the school as well as teachers and parents alike.  As well as embarking on projects of great complexity, the choir is also planning to premiere a new choral piece written by Mr Tyrell, the Music Techology teacher, in the next year.  The choir is run by Mr Harrison, head of performing arts at the school, and is often partnered with the Trinity Singers, a local adult choir who also work on similar material.  In performances the choir is often supported by the schools own symphony orchestra as well as professionals from across the country.
